Introduction

The rurali pattern was designed for transition across open fields, dry areas and urban-rural-agricultural settlements. It is a versatile pattern for a good variety of biomes and do not result too bright or too dark. Both the colour scheme (based on orange and green shades interleaved with light grey and mid-brown tones) and the texture are protected in Italy by SIAE and are covered by ProApto's international patent of Multispectral Camouflage.

Here below is a comprehensive unedited photo gallery of RURALI pattern displayed in multiple environments and seasons at different light conditions:

The Pattern Rurali (Exitium Rurali) is part of the Exitium family, consisting of 11 camouflage designs. The Exitium family, in comparison with our Transitio family (consisting of 7 designs), features a less marked macro camouflage while exhibiting a more detailed micro pattern. The name comes from ancient Roman Latin exitium, exitii, which means doom/destruction/death, and the adjective ruralis, ruralis, rurale, meaning rural. The name was chosen in reference to the effect of human artifacts on rural areas, because of the high impact of agriculture and war for territories that dictate the rhythm of human presence on planet Earth.

We employ the Rurali Pattern in our Multispectral Thermal Camouflage and for VIS camouflage products like the Velator overlayer.

Here below a comparison between the British MTP (Crye Multicam) and PenCott Greenzone.
